Where we need your help
The Monica Vinader Data & Analytics team plays a unique and crucial role in supporting decision-making, strategy development and process automation across the business. The team owns, maintains and improves all reporting and data systems, working in close collaboration with retail, inventory, operations, digital and technology teams.
As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be an integral part of the team, focusing on bringing our data to life: turning governed data models and metrics into compelling, actionable dashboards and insights that empower stakeholders to make better decisions. You will work closely with business teams to understand their needs and translate them into clear, well-designed data products.
This is an ideal role for someone early in their analytics career who is eager to develop their skills in a hands-on, fast-paced retail environment. You will be mentored by experienced analysts and engineers, with genuine opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility over time. Our team is actively exploring how AI tools and emerging technologies can reshape the way we build, deliver and interact with data – and you’ll be part of that evolution from day one.
What you’ll do
Dashboarding & Insight Delivery
Build, maintain and enhance dashboards and reports in Sigma, our cloud-based BI tool, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, timely and visually compelling data products
Support the development of new metrics and KPIs, working within our governed dbt modelling layer to ensure consistency and accuracy
Proactively surface insights and recommendations from existing dashboards and data sets to help teams identify opportunities and risks
Stakeholder Collaboration & Data Enablement
Partner with teams across the business – including digital, retail, operations, merchandising and finance – to understand their data needs and deliver relevant, high-quality outputs
Act as a helpful first point of contact for data queries, triaging requests through our internal data support desk and resolving straightforward questions directly
Champion a culture of self-service analytics by helping stakeholders navigate and use our BI tools confidently
Data Quality & Governance
Apply thorough QA processes to all outputs, ensuring data integrity before sharing with stakeholders
Support the team in maintaining documentation for dashboards, metric definitions and data sources
Flag data quality issues or inconsistencies proactively, escalating where appropriate
AI-Assisted Analytics & Innovation
Develop comfort with AI-assisted analytics workflows, using tools such as Claude to support your analysis, documentation and dashboard prototyping
Contribute to the team’s exploration of new ways to deliver data to stakeholders – including conversational data interfaces and data apps alongside traditional dashboards
Bring a curious, experimental mindset to emerging tools and techniques, helping the team evaluate what works and what doesn’t
Learning & Development
Develop your SQL skills and understanding of our data architecture (BigQuery, dbt) with support from the wider team
Build familiarity with digital analytics concepts such as web funnels, event-based data and customer journey analysis – prior exposure to Google Analytics 4 is a bonus
Contribute to team improvement initiatives, bringing fresh ideas and a willingness to learn
Workflow Management
Manage your own workload effectively within the team’s sprint processes, keeping stakeholders and the wider team updated on progress
Prioritise tasks within your backlog in alignment with business objectives and team priorities
What you’ll bring
Connect & Empower
Clear and thoughtful communicator who can translate data into plain language for non-technical audiences
Collaborative and proactive – comfortable working across teams and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Drive & Deliver
Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work
Able to manage your own workload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A doer – you take ownership, follow through and close the loop on tasks
Grow & Adapt
A growth mindset – hungry to learn, open to feedback and comfortable asking questions when unsure
Resilient and adaptable, thriving in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift
Comfortable working with ambiguity, taking a structured approach to problem-solving
Master & Apply
Solid foundation in SQL with a genuine interest in developing further
Experience with BI or data visualisation tools (e.g. Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) – or a demonstrable aptitude and eagerness to learn
Familiarity with data concepts such as data modelling, metrics governance and data quality is desirable
Exposure to or interest in digital analytics tools (e.g. GA4) and understanding of e-commerce or retail data is a strong advantage
Curiosity about AI tools and a willingness to experiment with AI-assisted approaches to analysis and dashboard development
Background in retail, DTC or e-commerce environments is highly preferred
To be successful at Monica Vinader, it helps if you...
Are hands-on, solutions-focused, and entrepreneurial
Collaborate openly with humility, honesty, and humour
Embrace learning, teaching, and personal growth
Stay resilient, adaptable, and self-motivated in a creative environment
Speak up when you don’t know—and act fast to figure it out
